I hope I have answered any questions you might have had concerning Medical Marijuana and cannabis in general. Hopefully, I have dispelled some of the misinformation that has prevailed since the “Reefer Madness” propaganda of the 1920s and 1930s !
It is so absurd that a plant that had been used for thousands of years to treat so many ailments was suddenly made illegal in 1923 and demonized for no valid reason.
Hopefully those 95 years, or so, of ignorance are now fading into the past and people will once again benefit from what this plant has to offer.
Cannabis is a very interesting plant and, with current research, more and more health benefits are being discovered. Studies are indicating that there is hope for the cannabinoids produced in cannabis to help treat a great many conditions….both physical and psychological. Conditions which, so far, have been unresponsive or inadequately controlled by pharmaceutical drugs.
With legalization of Recreational Marijuana it is essential that a system for Medical Marijuana be maintained. The needs of Medical Marijuana users may not always be met by products that will appeal to the Recreational market. Other cannabinoids, besides THC….or in combination with THC…, are required for most medical conditions. These cannabinoids, especially CBD, must continue to be available to Medical Marijuana patients.
Fortunately, with legalization, Health Canada Medical Marijuana programs remain in effect.
Now we just need more enlightened doctors to prescribe cannabis !!
